In this month I really had a great Stampede making a lot of new friends, had a good ride out to Chestermere, back to Golfing on the regular and near the end of the month took a trip to Saskatchewan to say good-bye to Auntie Toni at 98 years young.
Calgary Stampede 114th (like my 30th or so). Managed to hit 5 days worth of events starting on the first Thursday then Tuesday to Friday. A lot, but good. Yeehaw!

Day 1, July 2 - a great afternoon event at Wild Rose held by The Crossing Group then over to a secondary rodeo at Grey Eagle Casino "Bull Bustin". Very close and personal! Btw; the bartender from last year met me at the entrance with last years drink invention a "Slippery Cougar".

A little Stampede break to get out for a client golf outing hosted by Fortress Eng at Wintergreen which is nice, but has a heavy price for a course that has a restaurant construction and patches all over the course.

Day 2, July 7. Spent the early evening at a Comco event at Whiskey Rose then a night cap at Ranchmans enjoying a good young band.
Day 4, July 9. Started at the Tundra party meeting some new faces from Gas Liquids (Alex, Ryan) and SPI (Teralyn) then on to Wildhorse to enjoy some more festivities and live music bumping in to many familiar faces and adding Dan from FWS.

A buddy asked for a big favour and I delivered with a drive to Cranbrook! Nice to meet you Ana. What a beautiful drive in mid July, but a little busy on a Sunday. I took Hwy 22 down and came back up Hwy 93.

Auntie Toni Funeral. Drove 4.5 hrs to Kindersley to attend my great Aunt's funeral after 98 years on the planet making it more of a celebration than a sad day. Good to tie the family back together for a day and have a road trip with my mom who was very close to Toni who supported her decisions when few did, like when she decided not to be a Nun anymore!
